Welcome

Welcome to St Mary’s School, Rushworth

St Mary’s School, Rushworth is a Catholic primary school located in the heart of our community, operating under the governance of Catholic Education Sandhurst Limited(CESL). We are a welcoming and inclusive school where we ‘Nurture the Whole Child’.

Guided by our Catholic faith, we live out Gospel values and encourage our students to grow in compassion, kindness, and respect for others. At St Mary’s, our dedicated staff work collaboratively to create a safe, calm, and nurturing learning environment. We are committed to high-quality teaching and learning, supporting each child’s academic growth while also fostering their spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.

We support students to discover their individual strengths, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Our strong sense of community is reflected in the partnerships we build with families, as we work together to support each child’s unique journey.

All learning at St Mary’s is guided by Catholic Education Sandhurst’s Magnify Program, providing a shared, evidence-informed approach to teaching and learning. This approach ensures consistency across classrooms and delivers high-impact teaching practices that lead to specific, targeted outcomes. Through this, teachers and leaders are able to clearly identify student progress and respond with immediacy, ensuring that every child is supported to achieve success.

Our school expectations are at the centre of all that we do. We promote Care for Self, Care for Others, Care for Learning, and Care for the Environment through a positive behaviour response framework. This approach supports students to develop responsibility, empathy, and respect, while contributing to a calm, supportive, and purposeful learning environment.

We warmly invite families to visit St Mary’s, meet our staff, and experience our vibrant learning community firsthand through a school tour. To arrange a visit, please contact the school office (03) 58561347.

God bless,

Mrs Angela Fiske-Kealy
